Is the intelligence level related to genes?

This is a question that my friends ask me...

is the intelligence level related to genes?

And I think intelligence is dependent on both your genes and environmental factors, and although you can do nothing about genes still you can alter the other factors in order to become more intelligent.

how to increase my intelligence levels?

The following are actions you should do if you want to increase you intelligence levels:

* Increase you knowledge: if one big part of intelligence is organizing information and building conclusions then how come do you want to become intelligent without having any information to organize!! The more you learn the more you can make combinations of the information you have and the more intelligent decisions you will be able to give.

* enhance your brain functions: you can enhance your brain functions by learning something complex like a new language or by playing complex games like chess. The more you enhance your brain functions the more you will become intelligent.

* accompany intelligent people: do you know that patterns of thinking can be learnt? The more you accompany intelligent people the more you will be likely to grasp their way of thinking and so become intelligent.

* learn about emotional intelligence: under the pressure of emotions you can give emotional decision that are far from being intelligent, by learning about emotional intelligence you will be able to control your emotions and prevent them from getting involved into your decision making process

* food affects your brain activity: caffeine is known to make you more alert and to improve concentration, a cup of coffee would be helpful just before you need to use the full capability of your mind, on the other side sugar and carbohydrates can make you less alert and so affect your thinking process.
