The difference of Outlook and Gmail

In the previous article, I mentioned some of the differences between Outlook and Webmail. Gmail is primarily a webmail service, but Outlook can be configured to download Gmail mail.

The difference between Outlook Web Access and Gmail
The nice thing about Outlook and Outlook Web Access, which Microsoft webmail plugin for Exchange mail server name is the user interface of Outlook are reflected in web part. - You get so to say the best of both worlds.

User interface of Gmail at all similar to Outlook's user interface. But the biggest difference is probably in the fact that outlook when the program is connected to Gmail, retrieves and deletes all email from the server. Which means that you can not see the old emails via webmail once they are downloaded by Outlook. It must be said that the outlook may well be set up not to delete mailsne on the server, but this approach is often problematic. - Outlook is primarily designed to interact with Microsoft's own mail server in business.

I myself am quite fond of Outlook both at home and at work, but I do have a few friends who totally uses Gmail as webmail, and would not dream of using Outlook. If no one wants to use his company email for private emails, Gmail is in other words hard to beat. - Whether you will use the combination of Gmail and Outlook or not is a matter of taste.

For those who do not want to use Outlook, Google has created a small "notification" program through an icon in the "system tray" (to the right of the toolbar) shows when they have mail to one Gmail.
