Benefit of Sensor Cleaning

Every owner of a digital SLR will have to deal sooner or later, with the sensor cleaning. Dust entering the camera and sits down in worst case on the sensor, the screen and the mirror off. There are various methods to get the camera back to dust, unfortunately, very few of them really effective. The longer are the dust on sensor & Co remains, the harder it will be to remove him again.

With time, the dust adhered almost to the surfaces. Sensor cleaning - pure alcohol - is not always the best idea. Some DSLR sensors (better said, the filter over the sensor) are provided with a special coating. This may (not must) be damaged by hard liquor - the result is an expensive repair. The mirror of a digital SLR camera is still the easiest to clean. The focusing screen on the other hand very easily scratched - this means: Even a cotton swab can leave scratches on the delicate ground glass.

Be extremely careful. A dirty ground glass in no way detracts from the picture, but it is very annoying when you see dirt and scratches in the viewfinder. If you clean your screen and the time it goes wrong: focusing screens are not very expensive (for my last TV screen I paid about 7 EUR). Often it is easier to replace the focusing screen than to agonize over several cleaning attempts.

Of course, should be done only in an attempt cleaning as dust-free environment, otherwise it will almost certainly be more dust in the body of your DSLR penetrate. With a little practice in terms of cleaning and you'll have for a long time a lot of fun with your camera.
